The Columbia Art League has many ways for everyone to get involved! We’re looking to build our volunteer team, and we need your help.

Volunteers who help out at the CAL gallery 10+ hours per month will earn a free membership with the Art League and are invited to our big volunteer party at the end of the year. Volunteers who help out less than 10 hours per month are invited to our big volunteer party at the end of the year.

Volunteers help CAL in a variety of ways- they can work in the gallery weekly, conducting sales and interacting with visitors, they can help at special events and opening receptions as a hospitality volunteer, or they can help with special projects, which may involve rearranging the Members’ Gallery or other annual events, such as a Boone County Art Show.

Anyone is welcome to volunteer! These tasks require no special knowledge, and we can find tasks to fit all ages and abilities. You may volunteer weekly as a gallery volunteer, monthly with our special projects team, or train to be a substitute when another volunteer is unable to make their shift. Volunteers undergo an orientation and a few hours of training, which can be scheduled flexibly.
